At 27, she left the United States to work her way around the world playing her own brand of jazz and classical music, living a unique and unabashedly exciting life along the way. Andrew Bird: Fever Year

An amazing amalgamation of concert footage, studio work and personal introspection, this film delves deep into the life of musician Andrew Bird and follows him throughout his rigorous, year-long tour across the country, ending with a concert in his hometown of Chicago.  Director to be in attendance for 4/15 and 4/16 screenings

Beep Beep (Bip Bip)

Directed by: Philippe Gregoire, Canada, 5 minutes, Rating: MT

A hapless man in a parked vehicle becomes a prisoner of his girlfriend’s drowsiness, as she can’t be woken to disable the penetrating alarm beeping on her wristwatch.  A hilarious, improvised dance party behind the steering wheel becomes his only escape.

Ghost of Old Highways

Directed by: Dan Bush, USA, 15 minutes, Rating: MT

This stunningly shot experimental short focuses on a Civil War-era man who is caught in a nightmarish dreamscape, commenting on the destruction done to our own people during this tragic war.  Ghost of Old Highways was shot on location in the North Carolina mountains and is based on the song of the same name from the band Lovett.

Kevin

Filmmaker Jay Duplass’ documentary investigates the story of Kevin Gant, an inspired and beloved Austin musician who disappeared from the scene in 1995. Who is Kevin? What happened to him? And, can he get back what he lost? – All three screenings will feature a special live musical performance from Kevin Gant!

One Night Stand

Queens of Country

Jolene (Lizzy Caplan) lives in a fantasy world of bygone country songs. When she discovers a lost iPod with her boyfriend (Ron Livingston), she becomes convinced that the owner is her soulmate and is thrust into a sexy, heartwarming and hilarious adventure while searching for the iPod’s true owner.  Also starring Matt Walsh, Joe Lo Truglio and Maynard James Keenan.  Directors Chris Pomerenke & Ryan Page, Producer Topper McDaniel and star Ron Livingston to be in attendance for screening!

Remembering Frederic: The Genius of Chopin

A film exploration, created by local filmmakers, of the life of Frédéric Chopin, one of the most famous pianists of all time. Through personal reflection, interviews and many beautiful journeys through Chopin’s homeland of Warsaw, Poland, this film should enlighten and enliven audiences’ knowledge of the great Chopin. The Brooklyn Brothers Beat the Best

After being dumped by both his girlfriend and his band, Alex is in a depressing rut, toiling away at his comically pathetic dead-end job. When he gets the opportunity to leave his life behind and go on a bizarre cross-country music tour with a new, eccentric friend, Alex jumps at the chance.  Director/actor Ryan O'Nan and actor Michael Weston to be in attendance for screenings

The Fairy
